Help the cartoonist out; get art suitable for framing.
So yes, I do sell the original artwork from strips. Click here to see a bunch of them spread out on my drawing table.
The originals of daily strips are 15 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches high, with an inch or so of white border space around them. Sunday-style strips are 16 1/2 by 8 1/2. Everything in the strips, lettering and all, is done by hand (although the Sunday strips are, of course, digitally colored, so the originals are in black and white).
In either case, I traditionally charge $100 for a strip.
Most of the strips, at this point, are still available; e-mail me with the date of the strip you want, and I'll be happy to let you know if I still have that one.
I can also provide a signed print of any strip, daily or Sunday, for $30. I'll print them at their original size, unless you specify otherwise.
I have, furthermore, been known to do commissioned artwork. How much I'd charge for that depends on the commission; e-mail me and we can negotiate.
In most cases, people pay me by check; I ask for the check first, but I don't cash it until I know the artwork has arrived safely. I can also do PayPal. (Yes, there's a certain amount of trusting me involved.)
Thanks in advance for helping to keep me in food, shelter and art supplies.
