live in or near the Wedge neighborhood, register your cat.
LEARN YOUR CAT TOUR HISTORY: The cat tour concept was originated by John
Edwards in 2017 in the Wedge neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. After
years of walking the neighborhood and posting window cat photos to social
media, he recognized an opportunity for the world’s first cat walking tour. The
early years of the tour drew only dozens of people. Today, the tour draws
visitors from around the country and national media attention. The eighth
annual cat tour from June 2025 will be featured on a future episode of the PBS
animal TV show “Shelter Me.”"
