"Finding public domain (copyright free) imagery has always been a challenge,
especially when seeking content themes. It’s a hunt and peck process, and
rarely easy or fun.
That is changing thanks to a new resource called Public.Work, which was
launched by Cosmos this week.
The website is akin to a highly dynamic Pinterest board for copyright free
content, and features thousands of amazing images, and a beautiful, seamless
interface. The content is all public domain, meaning the images are free to
use, modify, and distribute without restriction.
Over 100,000 images are at your fingertips, and come from the MET, New York
Public Library, and additional sources. Thanks to smart categorization and
smart suggestions, our search for NASA imagery, redwood trees, and insects
netted some amazing results.
Free to use, we recommend you check it out and explore a world of historical
images you’ve not seen before."
