"Chinese smart electric vehicle (EV) company XPeng says it will debut what it
says will be Australia’s first flying car at the Melbourne Electric SUV Expo in
August, alongside four premium EVs it plans to bring to the country.

XPeng, through local retailer, importer, and distributor TrueEV, says it will
debut the AeroHT X2 two-seater eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing)
flying car at the Melbourne Electric SUV Expo

The X2 is marketed under the banner of AeroHT, an affiliate of XPeng, and has
been in development for several years, completing its first public flight in
Dubai in late-2022.

The X2 combines advanced electric propulsion with autonomous flight technology
and is designed for eco-friendly city travel with a sleek and compact design.

An enclosed cockpit, gullwing doors, and a minimalist teardrop-shaped design,
the X2 incorporates highly efficient aerodynamics to deliver a smooth flight
performance, while a completely carbon fiber structure helps to reduce weight.

XPeng have not been particularly forthcoming with technical specifications or
numbers for the X2, though some reports have suggested that the X2 can fly for
35 minutes on a single 3-hour charge."
