"Production is underway at Renault Trucks’ Bourg-en-Bresse plant in France for
its electric E-Tech T and C models.
The heavy duty vehicles are the latest addition to Renault’s all-electric
range, as it looks to add to it’s zero-emissions heavy offerings.
With a gross combination weight (GCW) of 44 tonnes, the E-Tech T and C models
are being produced in 4×2 and 6×2 tractor versions, with a long cab and a
wheelbase of 3.9m.
In rigid configuration, they are available in 4×2, 6×2 and 8×4 tridem, short or
long cab, with a choice of eleven wheelbases, ranging from 3,900 to 6,700 mm.
The E-Tech T and C models can be run with either two or three electric motors,
with a combined power of 490kW or 660hp.
They are also able to be fitted with between four to six lithium-ion battery
packs, providing between 390 and 540kWh of power.
The batteries can be recharged by alternating current (AC) up to 43 kW, or by
direct current (DC) up to 250 kW, giving the trucks a range of up to 300km and
up to 500km with an intermediate fast charge."
