Australia 'addicted to roads', says leaked infrastructure report

Roadbuilding is an easy way for politicians to be seen "doing something"
on two fronts at once: transport and construction jobs. Of course it
often doesn't address the real underlying transport needs, but that's
complicated and politicians don't like that because it's hard to sell to
voters.
