A shame this game didn't make their Kickstarter funding goal, but
they're going to keep working on it anyway with funding from direct
pre-orders:

One interesting idea is they plan to have in-game radio stations, and
not just music like some other games:
"There will be a radio station in our game that is dedicated completely
to comedy. We want to attract as many world class comedians as we can.
The comedy sets within this station will all be pre-recorded; we want to
use a variety of famous artists – our ambitions are only limited to our
budget in this regard."
"Science-based podcasts will also be included as a separate station."
"A variety of amateur radio associations will have a unique presence
within our in-game universe. Collectively, these associations make up a
total of more than 160 countries! Players of Space Pioneer will have the
opportunity to contact (via their call signs) members of these
organizations through the game’s interface."
