Darn Scammers!

What a week! This is my warning about potential scammers, having
potentially gotten myself slightly tricked by one.
On a list, I started particularly enjoying the conversation with one
fellow. This was all just friendly banter. He then disappeared for three
months. Then out of no where I receive a message from him. He has a new
job (which could explain his absence) and he wants a favour from me.
He wants to send me a package from his new employer and then I am to
photograph the package with the postal date and send that back to him.
So, he can check the delivery time. He offers me a small gift as part of
the exchange. This is a classic scam where the scammer is trying to see
how well you will follow instructions.
My guard was down because I had a headache and I thought of him as a
friend. I gave him my address on Google+ then an hour later realised
what might be going on, so went back and deleted it. Potentially, he may
have already seen it. So potentially I am now vulnerable to the CIA, a
drug mule, or simply someone trying to steal money. I will be going to
the post office tomorrow and talk with them about this.
Word to the wise from someone who may have been a little foolish.
Peace,
Katherine
