Many people have been influenced by Miyazaki, including most famously
Pixar but also, for example, Mark Oakley (iboxpublishing.com). I don't
know if there's a direct influence, but Lauren Faust and the writers of
the new My Little Pony have demonstrated a similar philosophy, one of
the things that makes the new series stand out.
