"When my mom came to visit me from Tokyo in August, she brought the
summer 2009 edition of a wonderful furniture catalog called Iimono
Hakken Jutsu, which roughly translates as The magic of discovering great
things."
I LOVED the doggy cellphone (or the cellphone doggy). It's a shame that item
isn't anything so charming.
Can you imagine? "Hey dear, put Fluff-muffins on the phone. Who's a funny
puppy...who's a funny puppy?"
Obviously the phone neatly attaches itself to the dog; picks up all yips,
growls, pants, and wiggly bottoms; and then accurately provides translation:
"It's mommy! I hear my people mommy! Maybe she'll give me some treats. Treats!
Treats! Treats!"
Cheers,
Katherine
