I think this is the only time Isolde has actually appeared in the strip in color. (If I'm wrong about that--as I have been other times I've made such claims about other things--I know someone will tell me.)

This was the beginning of the recurring idea that Isolde works as an intern on various dragon-run conspiracies. And when you get down to it, what is a political campaign but a conspiracy? It's an organized attempt to trick large numbers of people. I remain convinced the dragons could have won, if they'd actually wanted to. Out-conspiring George Bush and Al Gore can't have been all that hard.
